Evans Head is located in the Northern Rivers Region of New South Wales and is a peaceful township surrounded by national parks, beaches and the river. With the Pacific Highway located only 10km away, this provides a gateway to the major regional centres of Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Lismore, Casino and Gold Coast and only 2 and a half hours drive to the City of Brisbane.
This picturesque town features a mix of kindergarten, primary and high schools and enjoys a strong sense of community. Steeped in History the 1874 wreck of a timber schooner, Pilot, is at times, visible on the beach north of the town. Evans Head also plays host to one of the few retired F-111 aircraft in Australia.
